Next week is the Eurovision Song Contest final, and my wife absolutely loves it.
So instead of planning something extravagant, I decided to create a quiet, romantic evening at home built entirely around something she genuinely enjoys.
Sometimes romance is not about luxury or grand gestures.
Sometimes it’s simply about paying attention.
I planned a cozy setup in front of the TV with soft lighting, luxury candlestick holders, warm candles, a seafood platter, homemade margaritas, chilled champagne, silk pajamas, soft slippers, and a thick blanket for us to disappear under together.
No phones.
No distractions.
Just comfort, closeness, and a shared moment.
The older I get, the more I realize that being a romantic man is less about impressing someone and more about making them feel understood.
Knowing the little things they love.
Remembering them.
And turning them into moments they’ll never forget.
And honestly… those evenings at home often become the most intimate ones of all.
